Each year the DFWHRA recognizes members and their dogs which perform at the highest levels during their competitions.  These awards are based on competition level and then one overall top dog award combined.

Congratulations to the 2005 Top Dog Award Recipients:

Alot of work went into each of these teams, much time was spent training and in the feild. We salute you for your hard work!

Rules and Info
DFWHRA promotes this member only fun competition within it membership.  This program isdesigned to recognize those dogs who maximize their efforts and accomplishments.

There are 4 competition levels in which to participate and earn points.  These levels areJunior, Senior, Master and Open and points for each are accumulated for the calendar year.The dog with the highest points in each level for a calendar year will be recognized as the TopDog for that level. 

In addition to the award for each level there is also an overall Top Gun Dog
honor that will be awarded to the dog accumulating the most overall points regardless of level. Points will only be awarded to the dogs that are owner-handled.  The dogs owner may be either an amateur or a professional.  The dog's owner must be a member in good standing with DFWHRA.The owner is responsible for sending their test information to the DFWHRA president.

Pass Percentage Points for Top Dog Awards

 

0% - 40 %   = 2 points 70% - 80 % = 8 points 100 %    = 20 points
41% - 69 % = 4 points 81% - 99 % = 15 points

Definitions

 

Junior Dog Award - is applicable to NFRA Junior Level or NAHRA Started Level

Senior Dog Award - is applicable to NFRA Senior Level or NAHRA Intermediate Level

Master Dog Award - is applicable to NFRA Master Level or NAHRA Senior Level

Entry - above points are earned for each entry of a test either under NAHRA or NFRA affiliation

Pass - above points are earned for each qualifying score or pass received

FTW - 5 points are earned for designation as NFRA Field Test

WinnerTitle - above points are earned for receiving a Title by NFRA or NAHRA

High Point Dog - NFRA announces High Point Dog Award for each level and earns 5 points

National - Can be NFRA National or NAHRA Regional invitational event

Pass Percentage - Earn points based on the percentage of test entered vs test passed

 Member of the Year Award

DFWHRA promotes this member only fun competition within it membership. 

This program isdesigned to recognize those members that participate frequently in DFWHRA club activities.

To receive points for participation the member must first be in good standing with DFWHRA. Points will be awarded based on participation at DFWHRA Club Sponsored Events. Points will be awarded based on the table below.

There will be a sign-in sheet at all club sponsored events. It is the members responsibility to ensure they sign in at these events. Points will be accumulated over the calendar year and then totaled at the end of the year.

The member with the highest total points accumulated at the end of the year will be honored as DFWHRA Member of the Year. DFWHRA Board of Directors and Officers do not earn points in this program.
